My Inspiration

My proclivity to storytelling—through both language and images—originated during my upbringing in the verdant expanses of California's Central Valley. Growing up in a rural town surrounded by almond orchards, I would spend the summers watching freight trains zoom across the valley floor and fade into the mountain horizon. I was transfixed by the seemingly limitless expanse: to the west, the road bisects the Diablo Range and extends one-hundred miles to the coast, and to the east reigns the vast Sierra Nevada skyline, with Half Dome's prodigious granite soaring into the clouds. The infinite contours of the mountains became my inspiration for discovering and curating life's vast offerings through language and travel. Through my work, I am able to help others communicate a message, tell a story, and even share curated life experiences.
